Agrianita IPB University Maintains Student Health Through Healthy Saturday Activities for Dormitory People

On the 3rd of February a Healthy Saturday activity was held which was organized by the Social Welfare Service (PPKS) Wulan Agrianita IPB University in collaboration with Agrianita Faculty, Student Dormitory Management Unit, Directorate of General Competency Education, Senior Resident and Student Dormitory Welfare Council Batch 60.

This activity aims to facilitate new IPB University students in nutrition education, health checks, waste education stalls (Tayo and Mountrash), vent stalls and fulfill the needs of preloved goods at very affordable prices. This activity is routinely carried out every two weeks on Saturdays in rotation per two dormitories which are cared for by the Agrianita faculty.

The activity was also attended by the Rector of IPB University, Prof Arif Satria. “This Healthy Saturday activity needs to be appreciated because it can invite all dormitory people to always maintain health, both physical and mental health so that lecture activities can run well,” said Prof Arif.

He continued, this Healthy Saturday activity is very useful and useful for dormitory people, so it is expected to increase student motivation to continue to be active and study optimally on the campus of IPB University.

One of the dormitory participants who attended this activity said, “This activity can provide me with environmental material so that I care more about the cleanliness of the dormitory and get nutritious healthy food intake. In addition, I can also get a free health check so that it helps to know the health condition and can get cheaper goods with good quality from Agrianita IPB University,” she said.

Healthy Saturday activities began with morning gymnastics with dormitory people followed by a talk show “Mental Health” with speakers Dr Mulyorini Rahayuningsih, Lecturer at the Faculty of Agricultural Technology (Fateta) and Dr Neneng Hasanah, Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM). The material on nutrition education was delivered by Dr Widya, lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, IPB University. (*/Lp) (IAAS/Ard)
