Students of the Faculty of Forestry and Environment of IPB University Successfully Hold Forestry Extension at SMK Adi Sanggoro
Students of the Faculty of Forestry and Environment of IPB University successfully held forestry extension activities with the theme “Forest Management Department Goes To School: SMK Adi Sanggoro”.
The extension activity consisted of an introduction to the Faculty of Forestry and Environment, entry pathways and future job prospects to an explanation of forest conservation in preserving natural resources. The activity was held at SMK Adi Sanggoro, Dramaga Sub-district, Bogor Regency, involving the student council and MPK of SMK Adi Sanggoro.
Ivonia R Hutajulu, a student of the Faculty of Forestry and Environment of IPB University revealed that the counselling aimed to improve insight and introduction to the Faculty of Forestry of IPB University.
“In this outreach we discussed various topics ranging from the history of study programmes, entry pathways, job prospects of the Faculty of Forestry and Environment of IPB University and also explained about the preservation of Indonesian forestry,” said Ivonia.
She continued, the activity succeeded in creating a positive dialogue space between the Faculty of Forestry and Environment of IPB University and students of SMK Adi Sanggoro.
“It is hoped that this activity can inspire students to be more concerned about forest conservation so that they can become agents of change in preserving our natural wealth and hopefully similar activities can continue to be carried out to support public understanding and awareness of forestry,” said Ivonia.
