IPB University Students Create MNH Goes to School Program to SMAIT BBS Bogor

IPB University students from the Department of Forest Management (MNH), Faculty of Forestry and Environment (Fahutan) conducted socialization with students of Bina Bangsa Sejahtera Integrated Islamic High School (SMAIT BBS) Bogor. The socialization aims to explain information about campus life at IPB University, especially in the MNH Department.

This socialization group consists of three members, namely Wahyu Dewi Puspasari as the group leader and two colleagues Rizky Nabil Andhika and Bintang nur Alifah. The activity was carried out offline with a total participation of 39 students and accompanied by one counseling guidance teacher, Marius Suliarso.

“The socialization began with an explanation of the importance of higher education after high school. Then, we also provide explanations related to faculties, departments, scholarships, and facilities at IPB University,” said Wahyu Dewi Puspasari.

“IPB University until 2023 has nine faculties including the Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Animal Sciences, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, Faculty of Forestry and Environment, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Economics and Management and Faculty of Human Ecology and Faculty of Medicine. In addition, at IPB University there are also three schools, namely the School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Business School, and Vocational School,” he explained to the students of SMAIT BBS.

The socialization continued with a special explanation related to the MNH Department of IPB University. Starting from history, statistics of the last few years, activities, facilities, alumni, to job prospects that will be passed after becoming a forestry graduate of IPB University.

“This socialization is expected to attract the attention and students in grades 11 and 12 to continue their studies at IPB University, especially the MNH Department. With broad prospects and superior education, the MNH Department of IPB University is one of the best choices to be able to participate in improving and preserving Indonesian forestry,” Wahyu said.
