IPB University Rector Provides Free Onboarding Program for Graduates
Rector of IPB University, Prof Arif Satria, invites graduates who, after 6 months of graduation, have not gotten a job to return to campus to get the Onboarding Program for free so that alumni can get training and debriefing again. He conveyed this in his graduation speech held on 13/12 at Graha Widya Wisuda, IPB Dramaga Campus.
Furthermore, the Rector of IPB University gave three messages for the graduates in facing changes, namely to be a true learner with a growth mindset.
“As Ki Hajar Dewantara said, everyone is a teacher, every home is a school. So we can learn anywhere, we can learn with anyone, because our ability to be true learners will make us successful,” said Prof Arif.
He also emphasized that graduates can focus on future practices that will make them leaders. “So far, we have only focused on best practices that make us followers,” he said.
Prof Arif also invited the graduates to always strengthen character and integrity, because according to him, character is important. “According to Jack Ma, the future is no longer about science competition but about creativity competition,” he said.
The Rector again quoted aphorisms, when you lose your money, you lose nothing, when you lose your health, you lose something, when you lose your character, you lose everything.
Representative of the Alumni Association (HA) of IPB University, Ir Bambang Hendroyono, MM who also serves as Secretary General of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) congratulated the graduates.
“This graduation is the initial stage of facing a new world and new challenges. HA IPB University encourages graduates to always improve their skills and knowledge so that they can give their best,” said Ir Bambang.
He also invited them to adhere to the principles taught on campus, namely integrity, creativity, and inspiration. “We hope that alumni can continue to be connected to the campus and continue to work together to spread goodness to the people and nation of Indonesia,” he concluded. (dh/Lp) (IAAS/MZS)
