IPB University Precision Village Data Team Hand Over Data Collection Output to Central Bengkulu Regency Government
The IPB University Precision Village Data Team (DDP) handed over the data collection results of Padang Kedeper Village and Penembang Village to the Central Bengkulu Regency Government (Pemkab), on Thursday (27/12) at the Central Bengkulu Regent’s Office. The Person in Charge (PJ) of the Regent, accompanied by elements of the Central Bengkulu Village Community Empowerment Service (DPMD), was present directly on the occasion of the handover of the data collection results.
From direct observation at the location, the IPB University DDP team led by the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Human Ecology (Fema), Dr Megawati Simanjuntak in her introduction said that DDP activities in Padang Kedeper Village and Penembang Village went according to plan and there were no significant obstacles. This, she continued, was marked by the timeline of activities that went according to the initial planning.
“This of course cannot be separated from the support of the Central Bengkulu Regency Government and the relevant village governments who are full of dedication and enthusiasm for the success of DDP activities in their respective villages. The collaboration and synergy of all parties is the key to the success of the DPP, which emphasizes participation,” she said.
Furthermore, Dr Mega hopes that the results of DDP data collection can be utilized as much as possible in supporting village development actions. She emphasized that the IPB University DDP team was very open to follow-up responses to the DDP results that had been implemented in two villages in Central Bengkulu Regency.
“In essence, we are very open to the next step after DDP data collection, whether in the form of consultation, training, or updating DDP in villages that have been recorded,” she said.
It is known that in the DDP data collection activities of Central Bengkulu Regency, Padang Kedeper Village, and Penembang Village were chosen as pilot project villages. The two villages were selected based on their achievements, including as champions in the tourist village category.
DDP activities in Padang Kedeper Village and Penembang Village were conducted from mid-November to mid-December 2023. In the initial stage, data collection was carried out on the spatial aspect (area) which resulted in a village map with high-definition image quality.
Next, the activity continued with census-based social data collection and active involvement of residents from each village which resulted in monographs and analysis of people’s welfare in each village recorded by DDP. (Wid/Rz) (IAAS/TNY)
