IPB University Forestry Students Conduct Counseling at SMAS Rahmatan Lil’alamin
IPB University students from the Forest Products Department, Faculty of Forestry and Environment (Fahutan) conducted counselling at SMAS Rahmatan Lil ‘Alamin (RLA) located in Leuweungkolot Village, Cibungbulang District, Bogor Regency, West Java.
SMAS Rahmatan Lil ‘Alamin is an Islamic high school that was recently established in 2021. This school is under the auspices of the RLA Bogor Foundation with an integrated curriculum, which balances Quranic morals, academic abilities and skills.
“This high school, which is only two years old, of course only has two batches, class 10 and class 11. This attracted our attention to conduct counselling on forestry and socialization related to IPB University,” said Keisha Divana, one of the students involved.
The counselling was conducted by three students of the Forest Products Department as the final assignment in the forestry extension summer course. One of the teaching staff of RLA High School, Mu’adz Abdurrahman, was present to open the counselling activity.
Keisha admitted, the enthusiasm felt by the participants provided good energy for IPB University students. In fact, she said, the students were very active in the question and answer discussion session.
“The presentation was good. So I know where to go, it turns out that Fahutan IPB University is good and has very good accreditation,” said one of the students at SMAS RLA.
“With the diverse reactions from the students, we believe that this counseling has succeeded in providing a positive perspective and good value. Hopefully this activity can make them have an insight into Fahutan IPB University and be interested in continuing their education here,” hoped Keisha. (*/Rz) (IAAS/NVA)
