IPB University Faculty of Forestry and Environment Students Hold Forestry Counseling at SMAN 4 Bogor

IPB University Faculty of Forestry and Environment (Fahutan) students have successfully carried out forestry outreach activities with the theme “Fahutan Goes to School: SMAN 4 Bogor”. This activity was attended by class 12 students accompanied by a Guidance Counseling (BK) teacher.

Pheby S, a student at the Faculty of Forestry and Environment, IPB University, said that the counseling aimed to increase insight and introduction to the Faculty of Forestry and Environment, IPB University.

“In this counseling, we also discussed what departments exist at Fahutan IPB University, entry routes, and job prospects for Fahutan graduates,” said Pheby.

He continued, that this outreach activity succeeded in creating a positive and sportsmanlike dialogue between Fahutan IPB University students and SMAN 4 Bogor students.

“With this outreach activity, it is hoped that it can inspire students to get to know Fahutan IPB University better and care about forest conservation which plays an important role in the lives of humans and other living creatures,” said Pheby.

The outreach activity consisted of an introduction to the Faculty of Forestry and Environment and the student organizations at Fahutan which were explained by Syifa Auliya as the group leader. The location of Fahutan students’ field practice and achievements were explained by Muhammad Rayhan G. Finally, the work of Fahutan graduates, Fahutan graduates, and entry routes to Fahutan IPB University were explained by Pheby V Sitinjak. (*/Lp) (IAAS/Res)
