IPB University students joined an entrepreneurship info session with the Master of Science in Venture Creation (MSVC) of the National University of Singapore (NUS) to educate aspiring entrepreneurs who want to launch new ventures and grow their businesses through business development and networking opportunities and market access. The info session was held at Satari Auditorium, Faculty of Medicine, on 29/11.

Eva Anggraini, Director of Global Connectivity of IPB University in her speech said IPB University is not a university that only focuses on education but also provides knowledge through entrepreneurship programmes that are in great demand by students.

“Most of IPB University students have an interest in the field of entrepreneurship so we hope that this info session activity will provide a lot of motivation and input in planning the future, career and business of students later,” said Dr Eva.

She added, this activity provides important information to be learnt by students to focus on creating startups in the field of entrepreneurship.

“This programme has also been supported by the Education Fund Management Agency (LPDP) in providing scholarship funding. So this is an opportunity for students who are interested in business development.

Furthermore, this is a good opportunity for students so that IPB University and NUS can collaborate in creating entrepreneurship programmes,” she said.

Dr Wilson Wang from NUS Enterprise Academy was present as a resource person in providing information about the MSVC programme.

He explained that MSVC is NUS Enterprise’s long-term expertise programme in entrepreneurship.

“Through nurturing talent and supporting startups, NUS Enterprise plays an important role in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship and developing Singapore’s startup ecosystem,” Dr Wilson said.

Dr Wilson added that the semester-long corporate internship allows participants to work alongside founders of innovative startups, find out what it takes to build a business, and connect with people who can form a network of friends and future partners. (Lp) (IAAS/RUM)
