BEM KM IPB University Together with LPDP and PMI Organized a Blood Donation Event
The Executive Board of Students-Family of Students (BEM KM) IPB University Gagas Masa cabinet together with the Education Fund Management Institution (LPDP) held a blood donor social activity. The event took place at IPB University’s 60th Anniversary Reunion, at the end of November.
No less than 300 donors attended the event at Sentul International Convention Center (SICC), Bogor. Rector Prof Arif Satria, Chairman of the Central Executive Board of the Alumni Association (DPP HA) Dr Walneg S, Jas and Vice Rector Prof Deni Noviana also participated as blood donors.
“I really appreciate and support the program carried out by the blood donation committee,” said Prof Arif Satria. He prayed that the blood supply will always be available when there is a need so that it can be helped immediately.
Vice Rector of IPB University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof Deni Noviana praised this activity. According to him, it can provide a number of positive benefits for the donors themselves.
“Blood donation can maintain heart health and blood circulation, reduce the amount of bad cholesterol, increase red blood cell production, help detect certain diseases early and can maintain mental health,” said Prof Deni.
While Dr Walneg explained, “We donate not to reduce our health, but instead maintain our heart and our blood can be useful for those in need,” he said.
“We are very proud and happy to be able to participate in one of the activities at this Grand Reunion. This blood donation activity is in collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Bogor, PMI Subang and PMI Sukabumi,” said Latif Hidayatul Ikhsan, Minister of Community Service Coordinator of BEM KM IPB University.
He said, collaboration in this social activity needs to be carried out continuously in the future to provide many benefits for many people.
