TNC IPB University Introduces IPB Digitani Application as a Modern Agriculture Solution
Vice Chairman of IPB University’s Tani and Nelayan Center (TNC), Dr Roza Yusfiandayani, introduced IPB Digitani as a medium for agricultural information and communication through a briefing event for the IPB 2023 Innovation Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKN) held on 18/12.
On the occasion, Dr Roza explained the advantages of IPB Digitani as the only application that connects directly with IPB University experts.
“When students go to the field, they must find problems or issues in the community, for example in the field of agriculture related to chillies or other things, they can be asked through the IPB Digitani application. We will quickly respond to process to experts related to questions given through this application,” he said.
He also emphasised the role of students as agents of change, “Students can also be agents of change by providing IPB Digitani information to the community. The purpose of IPB Digitani is to facilitate farmers, breeders, fishermen, and the community to be able to consult directly with experts at IPB University related to these fields,” she explained.
In conclusion, Dr Roza hopes that the IPB Digitani application can be a practical solution for agricultural actors in Indonesia.
“This application does not have special hours for its services, so the expert team tries to respond to questions directly. I think this application can be a useful media to the community in the fields of agriculture, animal husbandry, and fisheries,” she said.
Furthermore, Dr Roza guided the 340 KKN students present in the process of downloading and using the IPB Digitani application. The hope is that this application can be utilised by KKN students to overcome problems in the community when they go to the field. (IAAS/RUM)
