The Quality Family School Program Involves French Students
The Quality Family School (SKB) initiated by the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences (IKK), Faculty of Human Ecology (Fema) and the Directorate of Agromaritime Community Development (DPMA) of IPB University is now held in Loji Village, Bogor, West Java.
At the 4th meeting this time, there was a different appearance. Brice Chevet, a student of Institut Polytechnique Unilasalle, France participated in the Quality Family School activities to assist mothers in Loji Village.
“I am very interested in observing how the Quality Family School program is implemented in the interest of humanity that supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),” he said.
Brice Chevet is a student exchange student for one semester at IPB University. In the future, he will be involved in several meetings at Sekolah Keluarga Berkualitas and plans to create a similar program.
Dr Lilik Noor Yuliati, IPB University lecturer from the Department of IKK as a resource person delivered the material ‘Smart Managing Family Finances’.
“Family has an important role in economic function with resource management, fulfillment of needs, education, creating emotional stability and building a better future,” she said.

According to him, family financial management needs to be managed properly. The reason is that the economic condition of the household can be one of the causes of conflict in the family, which can potentially lead to divorce.
On the other hand, every family hopes to achieve success for their children. Therefore, parents’ ability to manage their household finances will be instrumental in realizing a better future for them.
