Despite the availability of many legal and profitable investment options, many people still fall into detrimental fraudulent investments. This concern is highlighted by Rindang Matoati, SE, MSc, the manager of the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) Investment Gallery at IPB University.

“This situation is a result of the wide gap between the financial inclusion and literacy of the community, as well as the low interest of the Indonesian community in investments in the capital market,” she stated at the recent opening of the Stock Market School.

Therefore, she emphasized that the Stock Market School plays a crucial role in expanding the public’s awareness of safe investment options while avoiding detrimental investment offers.

The Stock Market School event featured explanations from Rivialda W A Lukika, an Investment Specialist at PT Indo Premier Sekuritas, and Yusuf Adi Pradana, a Market Development Analyst at the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The speakers elaborated on the importance of managing finances effectively, the ins and outs of investments in the capital market, including how to avoid fraudulent investment traps.

The Stock Market School, a successful collaboration between the IPB Finance Club and the FEM Investment Gallery at IPB University, was held at the Faculty of Medicine Auditorium on the Dramaga Campus.

The enthusiastic participation of 80 attendees characterized the event, which is held annually. Participants had the opportunity to engage in direct practice in purchasing mutual fund products through various accessible platforms. The Stock Market School atmosphere was further enlivened as participants had the chance to win shares and gold from Antam. (Ali M/Rz) (IAAS/Hap)
