Prof Bambang Purwantara Achieves 2nd Rank in Academic Leaders in the Field of Science
Bringing the innovation of reproductive biotechnology to applied science for livestock breeding, Prof Bambang Purwantara successfully won the 2023 Academic Leaders award. The IPB University Professor from the School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (SKHB) succeeded in getting 2nd place in Academic Leaders in the field of Science.
Over the last five years, Prof Bambang has produced 18 research studies, some of which are multiyear in nature. On several occasions, he was also trusted as head of the research team, such as in national competitive research, Indonesian collaborative research, IPB University, and Jambi University partnership research. Prof Bambang is also involved in research for Masters to Doctoral Education students for Excellent Scholars (PMDSU) and DIPA SEAMEO Biotrop research.
Apart from that, Prof Bambang is also one of the pioneers of several recent innovations such as embryo transfer, artificial insemination (AI), and artificial rhino reproduction.
“The Academic Leaders Award is actually an award for mentored students, lecturer colleagues, and domestic and foreign partners who have synergistically built a scientific reputation, cooperation, and collaboration,” explained Prof Bambang.
He hopes that this achievement will encourage IPB University academic personnel to continue to build an academic ecosystem that is conducive to the progress and development of science and technology for the benefit of the nation and humanity.
The prestigious Academic Leader 2023 event creates extraordinary momentum in appreciating the excellence and dedication of lecturers and academic leaders.
