PGRI University of West Sumatra Signs MOU with IPB University
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was carried out by the Rector of Universitas PGRI West Sumatra, Prof Ansofino and the Vice Rector for Global Connectivity, Collaboration and Alumni Relations of IPB University, Prof Iskandar Z Siregar.
The collaboration that will be established between PGRI University West Sumatra and IPB is related to development in the fields of education, research, community service and human resources. The signing of the MOU was carried out in the Rector’s Meeting Room, IPB Dramaga Campus, (22/11).
The Rector of PGRI University, West Sumatra, expressed his gratitude for IPB University’s positive response. He further explained the development of Universitas PGRI West Sumatra since its founding in 1984 until now, which has four faculties.
“The faculties consist of the Faculties of Science and Technology, Social Sciences and Humanities, Economics and Business and Postgraduate Studies. “PGRI University of West Sumatra also has 22 study programs that have superior accreditation,” he explained.
Furthermore, the Rector of PGRI University, West Sumatra expressed his desire to establish research collaboration in developing regional culinary tourism.
“On this occasion I hope that the collaboration can run as well as possible, both in the field of education for further studies for lecturers, applied biology in supporting culinary raw materials and contributing to the local culinary workforce through joint research and further studies for IPB University lecturers,” said Prof Ansofino.
Vice Rector for Global Connectivity, Collaboration and Alumni Relations of IPB University, Prof Iskandar Z Siregar said, with this MoU, West Sumatra University can be involved with various IPB University activities.
“I hope that this MoU can be carried out through more concrete activities, using a more complete network. West Sumatra is a good area for learning and future collaboration. So this collaboration must be expanded to various other faculties at IPB University,” he concluded. (dh/ LP) (IAAS/MFR)
