IPB University Holds International Collaboration Data Management Workshop
Three work units at IPB University, namely the Directorate of Global Connectivity in collaboration with the Directorate of International Education and the Directorate of Cooperation, held an International Cooperation Data Management Workshop on 13/11 at the IPB International Convention Center, Bogor. The workshop aims to improve collaboration data management so that it is more structured and integrated.
The workshop was opened by Prof Iskandar Z Siregar as Vice Rector for Global Connectivity, Collaboration, and Alumni Relation. “We must work together to improve IPB’s reputation,” he said.
He emphasized the contribution of each unit in filling in cooperation data. “I hope that by holding this workshop, IPB University will have a strong database so that it can increase global collaboration and cooperation,” said Prof Iskandar.
Assistant for Digital Transformation at the Institute for Information Management and Digital Transformation (LMITD), Dean Apriana Ramadhan, SKom, MKom, who was present as a resource person explained about the Data Flow of the Collaborative Information System (SIKA) and the World Ranking University Data Management Information System (SIMWUR), both data sources and related systems.
The second resource person, Dr Eva Anggraini, Director of Global Connectivity said that data in SIKA and SIMWUR is very important, among other things, as a database for the University Performance Index (IKU) and World University Rankings (WUR).
“IPB’s ranking in WUR is getting better, it will open up more opportunities for collaboration with world-class partners,” he said.
He continued, the data that needs to be recorded in SIMWUR includes data on inbound and outbound activities (full-time and part-time), both for staff and those carried out by students. Meanwhile, at SIKA, various IPB collaborations, both national and international, need to be recorded.
Another resource person, Puji Mudiana, SP, MA, Director of International Education, delivered material regarding International Education Data Management.
“Managing this data is important because it can improve IPB’s bargaining position and record student activities in international activities,” she said.
Meanwhile, Dr Jaenal Effendi, Director of Cooperation, discussed processing national cooperation data. “Each unit is expected to report on cooperation with partners up to the MoU or cooperation agreement stage,” he said.
The discussion session was led by the Assistant Director of International Program Services at the Directorate of Global Connectivity, IPB University, Drh Dordia Anindita Rotinsulu, MSc. “The case findings submitted by participants can be input for us in carrying out SIKA and SIMWUR data input,” said Dordia.
