IPB University Graduate School and Diktiristek Conduct Monev for PMDSU Scholarship Students
The Postgraduate School (SPs) of IPB University and the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology (Diktiristek) of the Ministry of Education, Research and Technology conducted monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the Master’s Degree to Doctoral Education for Excellent Undergraduates (PMDSU) scholarship program for batches IV, V and VI in a hybrid manner at the SPs Building of IPB University Dramaga, Bogor on 20/10.
The purpose of this monev is to get clarification and a more complete picture of the progress of study and research progress of PMDSU scholarship recipients. In addition, to look together from the results of internal monev that has been carried out by SPs IPB University as an institution that organizes PMDSU scholarships.
In his remarks, Prof Agus Buono expressed his gratitude for the implementation of the PMDSU student monev this time. Currently, SPs IPB University has formed a PMDSU student escort team under the coordinator of Prof Agus Buono with members of Prof Marimin, Prof Nahrowi and Prof I Wayan Wibawan which aims to monitor the progress of PMDSU students’ studies.
“One of the obstacles such as changes in research data collection approach techniques due to the constraints of the Covid 19 pandemic has also previously been carried out, then scheduling the acceleration of master’s program graduation, routine monitoring by increasing the role of the Quality Control Cluster and Quality Assurance Cluster, and reviewing research results through the study center at IPB University,” he said.
Prof Agus Buono gave an overview related to the development of PMDSU program students from batch IV with a total of 31 students, batch V 36 students and bacth VI 2 students, “We hope that the monev of PMDSU students can provide maximum benefits to all parties, both students and supervisors, so as to facilitate the study of PMDSU scholarship program students,” he added.
Meanwhile, Dr Rino Rakhmata Mukti, a lecturer at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) expressed his appreciation to SPs IPB University as the manager of the PMDSU scholarship program since it was first held in 2013 and currently SPs IPB University is the university managing the PMDSU scholarship with the most publications from 20 universities managing PMDSU scholarships.
“Since 2013 this program was formed, there have been around 2328 publications in all universities managing PMDSU scholarships and the majority are published in internationally reputable journal articles. The PMDSU program is very strategic in supporting universities in Indonesia for the World University Class (WUR) ranking,” said Dr Rino. (HBL/Lp) (IAAS/Ard)
