IPB University Collaborates with Chungnam National University, South Korea
IPB University signed a cooperation contract with Chungnam National University (CNU), South Korea. The signing was conducted at IPB Dramaga Campus, Bogor (14/11).
Vice Rector of IPB University for Global Connectivity, Collaboration, and Alumni Relations, Prof Iskandar Z Siregar, said IPB University was always interested in collaborating with Korean higher education institutions.
“Currently, IPB University has more than 30 active collaborations with universities and colleges in South Korea. We are very enthusiastic to further develop fruitful collaborations with CNU,” he said.
Prof Iskandar proposed an initiative to establish collaborative academic activities and master’s and doctoral degree research.
“The program is to create a dynamic platform for researchers from both institutions to engage in meaningful academic activities,” he said.
Furthermore, Prof Iskandar offers academic programs related to Korean language and culture. According to him, this program can promote a deeper understanding and appreciation of South Korea’s cultural heritage.
“We are highly committed to expanding this reputation on a global scale. IPB University has a vision to build innovation and a foundation for sustainable development in various aspects,” he explained.
Furthermore, Prof Iskandar said that through networking and collaboration, IPB University can work together to build advanced and sophisticated approaches. Thus, IPB University can have a significant impact in accordance with the needs of the community.
“As we embark on this collaborative journey, let us envision a future where our institutions play a pivotal role in shaping the academic landscape, driving innovation, and nurturing the next generation,” he said.
President of Chungnam National University, Prof Jin-Sook Lee, revealed that this meeting was highly anticipated for the development of a good and strong partnership between the two universities. According to him, student exchange opportunities at CNU are very interesting and have the potential to provide extraordinary experiences for students.
“These opportunities can enhance students’ competitiveness in the global job market and open doors to a wider range of careers upon returning to their home countries. We are confident that our collaboration will pave a significant way forward,” he explained. (dr) (IAAS/MZS)
