First Time as the Host, Department of Economics IPB University Successfully Holds Economics Summit 2023

Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) IPB University for the first time had the opportunity to host the Economics Summit 2023. There were 58 best delegates from seven universities in Indonesia who participated in the event.

Economics Summit is an annual event organized by students of economics and development studies programs from various universities in Indonesia. The purpose of the annual event of the entire Association of Economics Study Programs in Indonesia is to discuss, share ideas, examine current economic issues, conduct conferences and publish the best study results.

The results of the study will later be forwarded to relevant parties to be followed up so that Indonesia can achieve its optimal economic conditions. Economics Summit 2023 also has another goal, which is to build relationships and cooperation from the delegates.

This year, the Economics Summit was attended by seven universities, namely Airlangga University, University of Indonesia, Padjadjaran University, Gadjah Mada University, Diponegoro University, Parahyangan Catholic University, Brawijaya University, and of course IPB University as the host.

Zyahwa Aprilia, a representative of the Economics Summit 2023 committee, said that the event was expected to create policy recommendations that are solutive, applicable and useful in optimizing the Indonesian economy.

“Economics Summit 2023 is expected to be a sustainable event. Hopefully in the future it will be able to attract more Economics Study Program Associations from many universities in Indonesia,” he said.

Zyahwa added that the results and policy recommendations produced at this annual event are expected to reach Indonesian economic policy makers.
