DPMA IPB University Provides Training Lectures for Second Period KKN-T Innovation Students
The Directorate of Agromaritime Community Development (DPMA) IPB University held the IPB University Innovation Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKNT) activity again in the second period. This activity was held on Saturday, 11/11 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, IPB Dramaga Campus, Bogor.
This activity aims to accompany the community in efforts to strengthen the “IPB Present” program through the Community Service program. This program focuses on implementing IPB University innovation to support the socio-economic resilience of rural communities.
Assistant Chair of DPMA Agromaritime and Digital Farming Services and Chairman of the IPB University Innovation KKNT committee, Dr Supriyanto, conveyed that the IPB University Innovation KKNT theme was “Sustainable Development of Agromaritime Communities to Achieve Socio-Resilience”.
“IPB University Innovation KKNT period two will be held from December 18 2023 to January 30 2024. The Innovation KKNT involves 401 students from 10 Faculties and Schools and is accompanied by 20 Field Supervisors,” he explained.
He explained that KKNT Innovation activities were carried out in 40 villages spread across Cianjur Regency, Bogor Regency and City. In Cianjur Regency there will be a focus on discussing irrigation systems, while in the Bogor area there will be a focus on developing Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (KUKM) and waste management.
“There are already 17 village heads around the campus who are ready to participate in supporting the success of this Innovation KKNT. It is hoped that students and village communities can collaborate to develop innovation in their areas,” said Dr Supri.
Vice Rector for Education and Student Affairs at IPB University, Prof Deni Noviana, said that this year’s KKNT Innovation theme shows IPB University’s commitment to supporting sustainable development and community socio-economic resilience.
“This program is very good because students are given the opportunity to attend various villages to apply the 4Cs, namely Critical Thinking, Communication, Creative Thinking and Collaboration, which are competencies that students must have,” said Prof Deni.
She hopes that this activity can run smoothly, students can get the best benefits and maintain good communication with partners from the provincial, district and city governments so that students can have the opportunity to carry out activities outside the campus.
“Thank you for the support of lecturers, regional leaders, village governments and the community who are willing to support Innovation KKNT activities so that later Innovation KKNT activities can provide solutions to problems in the community,” she concluded. (Lp) (IAAS/YMK)
