DPMA and the Department of IKK IPB University Promote the Importance of Family Resilience
The Directorate of Agromaritime Community Development (DPMA) together with the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences (IKK), Faculty of Human Ecology (Fema) IPB University reorganized the Quality Family School (SKB) in Balumbangjaya Village, Bogor District on 24/10.
The activity, which was attended by mothers in Balumbangjaya, aimed to support family resilience in order to achieve prosperity in the face of change and crisis. With the theme “The Importance of Family Resilience”, the educational activity was delivered by Prof Euis Sunarti, a lecturer at the Department of IKK.
“The 2009 Law No. 52 reflects the view that dynamic conditions in a family require tenacity and resilience, as well as physical, material, psychological, and spiritual abilities so that families can live independently and live a harmonious life that improves welfare, both physically and mentally,” explained Prof Euis.
She continued that the law emphasizes the importance of understanding and addressing challenges and changes in the family context with comprehensive support.
“Family life today is dynamic and requires adaptation to changes. It is hoped that this education can increase the knowledge and skills of families in realizing quality families for Indonesia’s golden generation,” she said. (*/Lp) (IAAS/ANF)
