IPB University Students Introduced Village SDGs to Children of TPA Ummahatus Sa’adah Through the Ceria Program
IPB University students who are members of the Student Organization Capacity Strengthening Program team (PPK Ormawa) of the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Economics and Management (BEM FEM) carried out the socialization of Cerdas Mengimani Al Quran (Ceria). The activity took place at the Ummahatus Sa’adah Al-Quran Education Park (TPA), Cihideung Ilir Village, Ciampea District, Bogor Regency.
This activity carried the Smart Village concept by introducing sustainable development goals (SDGs) to children. A total of 80 children participated in the socialization along with volunteers from Sahabat Desa and the Muslim Student Forum and Islamic Studies (Formasi) FEM IPB University.
“Ceria is one of the literacy corners in the field of education prepared by the PPK Ormawa BEM FEM IPB University team. This activity is an education for children at TPA Ummahatus Sa’adah on how to read the Quran properly and correctly and followed by learning hadroh, tawhid, and morals with innovative learning media such as hand puppets for storytelling, YouTube videos, puzzles, and hadroh tools, “explained Wilujeng Ninda Latifah as the person in charge.
The TPA children were also introduced to material about the Village SDGs including definitions and goals, especially SDGs point 4. The event continued with an explanation of the Ceria program, starting from the description to the schedule of activities for the next few months.
“To add to the excitement of the event, we also held ice breaking filled with ‘A Ram Sam Sam’ gymnastics so that children focus on harmonizing the music with movements that are getting faster and faster,” said Ninda.
The series of activities was closed with a prayer led by one of the children. This was done to foster the children’s courage to perform and take a role in the community later. (*/Rz) (IAAS/SHY)
