IPB students who are members of the Soka Innovation Lab project held a World Mental Health Talk Show: Identification of Mental Symptoms, Handling and Prevention among Youth. The activity was held in a hybrid manner on Saturday, 10/14.
The event was opened by Salman Subakat, CEO of PT Paragon Technology and Innovation. He discussed young people’s awareness of their surroundings, including mental health. In the talk show, Salman explained several things such as mental symptoms, mental health awareness, stress levels, the importance of mental health and how to prevent mental illness.
Zidni Ni’matul Maula, a Postgraduate student of IPB University was very enthusiastic about participating in the talk show, she also showed high interest and awareness of mental health.
“The material is very insightful, especially since mental health is an issue that is currently being discussed because there are many cases related to mental health. Through this talk show, I realized that maintaining mental health is no less important than maintaining physical health,” she said.
Rohimatul Jannah from Pondok Inspirasi also added that this talk show was very useful for her. “Through this event, I became more aware of my own and others’ mental health. I became more aware of when I am stressed and what I should do to channel my stress,” she said.
She hopes that everyone can gain knowledge about mental health because the fact is that there are still many people who do not know about it.
“Hopefully this cool and useful event can continue so that more people are aware of mental health,” said Jannah. (*/Lp) (ASB/IAAS)
