IPB University Rector Inaugurates 24 Campus Ambassadors

IPB University’s Rector, Prof Arif Satria, inaugurated 24 IPB University Ambassadors. The inauguration event took place in the lobby of the Rectorate Building at the IPB University Dramaga Campus, Bogor, 18/10. The appointed IPB University Ambassadors are selected students from nine faculties and three schools within the IPB University.

IPB University’s Vice Rector for Education and Student Affairs, Prof Deni Noviana, congratulated the 24 IPB University Ambassadors who were chosen from various faculties. He explained that with their inauguration, the ambassadors have a significant responsibility to uphold the reputation of IPB University. Not only that, it is both an honor and a great responsibility because IPB University is known for its high ranking in the Top University Rankings.

“So, this prominent name will be associated and IPB University’s ambassadors are individuals who can represent the image and reputation of IPB University,” said Prof Deni.

Furthermore, Prof Deni added that from this day forward, IPB University’s ambassadors are officially active. He noted that when IPB University appoints ambassadors, there are no former alumni ambassadors. This means that the title of IPB University Ambassador will remain attached indefinitely.

Prof Deni also mentioned that there are ten success factors that serve as additional motivation for the newly inaugurated ambassadors. These factors include the importance of honesty and high discipline, working harder than others, getting along with people and collaborating, participating in various events and loving their work.

Meanwhile, the Institute’s Secretary, Prof Agus Purwito, encouraged the IPB University Ambassadors not to waste the opportunities they have been given. “Congratulations, you are among the chosen few from hundreds who applied, and this achievement is something to be proud of. I hope you won’t squander this achievement. From now on, all your actions as ambassadors will be closely watched,” he said.

The ambassadors inaugurated today will be actively involved in various IPB University activities. Their presence will elevate the quality of these events.

Ir Yatri Indah Kusumastuti, the Chair of IPB University’s Communication Bureau, stated that the ambassadors will play a role in strengthening IPB University’s reputation and making it even better. She mentioned that being an ambassador is also a way to learn through learning by doing experience and an opportunity to develop soft skills.

Siti Nuryati, STP, MSi, the Chairperson of the Public Relations Division, emphasized that with the inauguration of IPB University’s ambassadors, millions of eyes will be watching the individuals expected to always uphold the university’s good name. “IPB University Ambassadors are expected to always uphold the institution’s dignity. Ambassadors should be role models, making them even more appealing to students who want to study at IPB University,” she said. (IAAS/DSR)
