IPB University Presents 26 Companies and Agencies at the 2023 Job Fair, Students Can Look for Jobs and Scholarships
IPB University is again holding the 2023 Job Fair by presenting 26 strategic partner companies and agencies. This event was held on site at Graha Widya Wisuda (GWW), Dramaga Campus, Bogor on 28-29 October 2023 and held virtually until 26 November 2023.
Prof Deni Noviana, Vice Rector of IPB University for Education and Student Affairs, said that this Job Fair is the third in 2023. He said that the job fair aims to bring together prospective IPB University graduates with related companies in State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), Regionally Owned Enterprises (BUMD), or private.
“This Job Fair is also an event for our students who have an entrepreneurial spirit. Those who have businesses or startups that we facilitate. At this Job Fair there is also information on scholarships from the government such as the LPDP (Education Fund Management Institute). From us through the Directorate of International Education IPB “The University has information about student exchange programs abroad and international classes,” said Prof Deni after opening the 2023 IPB Job Fair, (28/10).
Prof Deni said that the educational process at IPB University is a series that has been designed since students entered IPB University. Students plan to pursue a career in what field and the job search process is all programmed at IPB University.
“Even those who have graduated but have not yet found a job, please come again voluntarily to take part in the training. “So essentially IPB University wants to increase opportunities for our students to get job information out there,” he said.
Prof Deni said that so far, there are 68 percent of IPB University graduates who work in the agricultural sector in a broad sense, both on farm and off farm. By profession, he said, there are those who work as entrepreneurs, professionals, bureaucrats, academics, and so on.
According to him, holding the IPB Job Fair opens up job opportunities for IPB University graduates. He hopes that in the future more companies will participate. The more companies there are, the greater the opportunity for IPB University graduates to get a job.
Meanwhile, Assistant Director for Career Development and Student Affairs at IPB University, Rici Tri Harpin Pranata, SKPm, MSi, said that the target of the IPB Job Fair is students, new graduates of IPB University, and the wider community who are looking for information on scholarships, internships or jobs. He explained that this event was free and open to students from both Bogor and outside Bogor.
“We invite our students here to take photos of where they want to work? Who are the IPB University partners? So, they already know if they want to join here (the company), these are the procedures, and so on. So they have already taken photos of their future career plans ,” he said. (MHT) (IAAS/SND)
