IPB University Graduate School Holds Student Monev for Odd Semester 2023/2024 with Collaboration Partners

The Postgraduate School (SPs) of IPB University held monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of the study progress of doctoral and master programme students. The purpose of this monev is to monitor the progress of student studies as well as to explore other cooperation programmes between SPs IPB University and several cooperation partners.

Prof Agus Buono, Vice Dean of SPs IPB University in the field of Academic and Student Affairs said, the monev participants this time were students of the 2018 to 2023 batch period. “With the monev facility, students on study assignments funded by cooperation partners can be a concern for all parties so that they can graduate quickly,” he said during the monev at Swiss Belinn Hotel, Bogor.

He also explained some changes in academic rules, especially related to scientific publications and graduation. SPs IPB University is currently working on the Recognition of Past Learning (RPL) pathway which is expected to enable students to graduate more quickly.

“It is different than previously, when registering students can submit RPL by providing a portfolio which will later be assessed by a team, with a maximum recognised record of 15 semester credit units (SKS) for master’s programmes and 12 SKS for doctoral programmes. With this new RPL, students can graduate quickly,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Prof Titi Candra Sunarti, Vice Dean of SPs IPB University in the field of Resources, Collaboration and Development added that for the admission of new students for doctoral, master and professional engineer programmes SPs IPB University was again opened in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. Registration will begin on 23 October to 30 December 2023.

“We hope that our collaboration partners can send their employees for study assignments or study permits at SPs IPB University to register in this even semester. Registration information can be accessed online through the admissions.ipb.ac.id page,” he added.

Some of the collaboration partners in this semester’s monitoring and evaluation include the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University, Geospatial Information Agency and the National Development Planning Agency. (HBL/Rz) (IAAS/RUM)
