For the First Time, IDI Bogor Regency Gathered at IPB University to Hold Doctorpreneurship Workshop for FK Students

For the first time at IPB University, the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) of Bogor Regency celebrated 73rd Anniversary of the Indonesian medical doctors association at Dramaga Campus, (25/10). The celebration was organized under the name of IDI Goes to Campus in the Doctorpreneurship Workshop event for students of the Faculty of Medicine (FK) IPB University.

Vice Rector for Education and Student Affairs of IPB University, Prof Deni Noviana conveyed, the theme ‘doctorpreneurship’ which was presented was a concept that was relevant to the current situation. It was an interesting combination of medicinal world and entrepreneurship.

“Doctorpreneurship is a concept that is relevant in this era. Hopefully it will become a movement where doctors do not act only as health service providers, but also as entrepreneurs in the world of health,” he said.

According to Prof Deni, in a changing world, doctors who were able to combine medical expertise and entrepreneurship would certainly have a very important role in advancing the health sector. This condition could undoubtedly help improve aspects of medical services and create innovations needed to meet the needs of the community.

“This event is the first step in understanding the concept of doctorpreneurship and how fellow doctors as a medical community can contribute to this,” he said.

The temporary person in charge (PJs) of the Dean of FK IPB University, Prof Srihadi Agung Priyono explained the importance of cooperation with IDI and public hospitals. This was so that all parties could understand each other and provide mutual insight.

“The age of 73 years is a mature age in an organization. We at IPB University in parallel are also preparing to provide quality education with strong support from IDI and public hospitals. In addition, the university strongly recognizes the need for lecturers from outside, so we will continue to strive for this,” he said.

Dr Kornadi, Chairman of IDI Bogor Regency in his speech advised the first batch of FK IPB University students to continue to improve their experience and insight. “I hope students can be more active and use the opportunity to communicate with all the participating stakeholders and build networks,” he hoped.

Chairman of the IDI Goes to Campus organizing committee, Dr Encep Abdul Wahab said, this event was one of a series of IDI 73rd Anniversary events. This year, the celebration would be enlived with various events such as roadshows to schools, Islamic studies, online health discussions, social service activities at several points, healthy walks, health screening, blood donations and awards.
