Sign MoA, LKPE IPB University and ITC Certiport Ready to Accelerate International Competency Certification
IPB University through the Institute for Leadership and Executive Education (LKPE) established cooperation with PT International Test Center (ITC) Certiport to organize an international competency certification program. Dr Pria Sembada as Vice Chairman of LKPE IPB University in the field of Certification and Competence signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with Harry Pratama, General Manager of Business ITC as well as serving as Product Manager of ITC Certiport.
Dr Pria said the collaboration between LKPE IPB University and PT ITC Certiport is one of the important parts of increasing the number of IPB University community members who have certified and internationally recognized competencies. Certification is not only important for lecturers and education staff (tendik), but also for students and alumni so that later IPB University graduates have added value to be absorbed in the business world and the industrial world.
“In the future, we see and hope that this collaboration can be expanded to increase the benefits for the entire extended family of IPB University,” he said during the signing of the collaboration at the Office of LKPE IPB University. This cooperation, he said, aims to develop human resources through competency improvement programs with several internationally recognized learning and certification programs for lecturers, staff, students, and alumni of IPB University.
Certiport is the world’s largest international company engaged in the development of certification exams. Certiport is under the auspices of Pearson VUE, a certification body that has been established for a long time and is based in America. As an international test center, Certiport has obtained ISO 9001: 2015 with the scope of international test administration services.
Some certification programs that will be implemented by LKPE IPB University and ITC Certiport include IC3 Digital Literacy Certification, Microsoft Office Specialist, Entrepreneur Small Business (ESB), Project Management Institute (PMI), and several other certifications. The initiation of the program implemented by LKPE IPB University is expected to contribute to the fulfillment of the main performance indicators (KPI) of lecturers in the IPB University environment, especially KPI point 4 so that it can reach the target of 100 percent.
As a follow-up to this collaboration, technical guidance has been carried out for the LKPE IPB University team with training as a Certiport Authorized Testing Center (CATC) operator in Bogor. This activity is one of the first steps to follow up on the cooperation agreement between LKPE IPB University and PT ITC Certiport. By becoming a CATC, IPB University can accelerate the process of certifying the competence of IPB University citizens that can be recognized internationally. (WB/Rz) (IAAS/TNY)
