Prof Dr Arif Satria, SP, M.Si. : IPB University’s ATP is a Place to Learn Organic and Modern Agriculture
Rector of IPB University, Prof Dr Arif Satria, SP, M.Si. said the Agribusiness and Technology Park (ATP) of IPB University became a place to learn organic and modern agriculture. This was conveyed by the Rector during his visit to ATP, Bogor (9/9). According to Prof Dr Arif Satria, SP, M.Si., ATP is a place that will provide inspiration for everyone who will learn agriculture broadly from upstream to downstream.
“IPB University needs a storefront where people come directly to the place to exhibit various agricultural products. The purpose of exhibiting is not to show off greatness, but to motivate people to work and do business in agriculture,” he said.
Furthermore, Prof Dr Arif Satria, SP, M.Si. said, anyone who comes to ATP IPB University must be served well so that they can give a positive impression. “People who are polite and serve kindly will impress everyone. The impression is important because it will always be remembered by many people,” he said.
Director of Agromaritime Community Development, Dr Handian Purwawangsa revealed the importance of debriefing for employees in ATP. “Employees who work at ATP IPB University must be equipped with various new knowledge and skills to serve consumers well,” he said.
Meanwhile, Chairperson of Agrianita IPB University, Retna Widayawati said that her party was ready to collaborate with ATP IPB University. According to her, people who come to ATP IPB University want to see, get and go home with something new.
“I see there is potential that can be maximized by advancing ATP IPB University to be even better. For merchandise, it does not have to be in the form of vegetable products but can be in the form of photos as memories of people who visit here.
