The Student Organization Capacity Development Program Team (PPK Ormawa) of the Association of Students Interested in Communication Sciences and Community Development (Himasiera) held the 3rd medicinal plants and family (toga) learning in Neglasari Village, Bogor, West Java. This learning was attended by prospective members of the Arurang Ngobat Dina Pakarangan (Ubaran) Community who are representatives of each community association (RW).

Learning is carried out to prepare prospective members to be ready to undertake various activities that will be carried out by the community. This learning activity was held in the green house located in RW 1 Neglasari Village. The material provided in this third lesson is about toga care, pests and harvesting. Previously, the first learning activity had been carried out with planting media material and the second learning activity had been carried out with seeding and planting material.

“Hopefully in the future this community can become a pioneer in society in utilizing home gardens by planting medicinal plants. “Apart from that, in the future this program can also provide better benefits in the economic and educational fields for members of the community itself and for other residents of Neglasari Village,” hoped Fauzan Naufal, Chair of PPK Ormawa Himasiera.

Fauzan explained that the learning activities began with an explanation of the material and the distribution of modules by the Ormawa Himasiera PPK team. Apart from the material, demonstrations were also carried out with the aim that prospective members could see it directly and hopefully be able to implement it.

“The next agenda after this activity is the inauguration of the Ubaran Community. “Members included in this community are those who have taken and completed Toga learning,” he said. (*/Rz) (IAAS/MFR)
