Neglasari Village Ubaran Community Finally Inaugurated by Himasiera Ormawa PPK Team
The Student Organization Capacity Strengthening Program Team (PPK Ormawa) of the Communication Sciences and Community Development Student Association (Himasiera) inaugurated the Ubaran Community (Arurang Ngobatan dina Pakarangan), 16/9.
The Ubaran Community consists of representatives of the Neglasari Village community from each RW. This community was formed after going through a learning process to prepare community members to be able to plant and care for Toga (Family Medicinal Plants) properly. The inauguration was held at the Neglasari Village Office.
“It is hoped that the management of the PPK Ormawa Team can be transferred to KWT as managers at the local level so that the Ubaran program provides benefits to the Neglasari Village community,” said Hana Indriana, MSi, supervisor of PPK Ormawa Himasiera IPB University.
Fauzan Naufal, a student of IPB University explained, before the inauguration, prospective community members first elected the chairman and vice chairman. The election was carried out by deliberation accompanied by the PPK Team of Ormawa Himasiera IPB University.
Afterwards, Hj Dadang was elected as chairman and Sakija as vice chairman. The Minutes of Community Establishment was then signed by the Head of Neglasari Village and the Head of Ubaran Community as a written form of the inauguration of Ubaran Community. The inauguration was symbolically carried out by giving seeds by the head of the PPK Ormawa Himasiera Team, Fauzan Naufal to the Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson of the Ubaran Community.
“The Ubaran Community was formed as an effort to sustain the Himasiera Ormawa PPK program in Neglasari Village. The Ubaran Community also aims to prepare environmental cadres in each RW who will later contribute to inviting local residents to plant Toga,” said Fauzan Naufal, Team Leader of PPK Ormawa Himasiera IPB University.
After the inauguration, the first activity that will be followed by community members is the Toga competition organized by the Himasiera Ormawa PPK Team. Activities that will be contested are planting Toga in the yard and making Toga displays.
“The competition is followed by each RW and hopes to motivate the people of Neglasari Village to plant various kinds of Toga in the yard,” said Naufal. (IAAS/ASB)
