IPB University’s Global Health Agromaritime-One Health Collaborating Center (GHA-OHCC) held a ‘Student Project Preparation’ class for students who are members of the One Health Student Club (OHSC) Batch I. This activity provides an opportunity for students to showcase the results of preparing student project proposals and budgeting. A total of 24 participants participated in this activity, some of whom were members of OHSC IPB University Batch I who came from various faculties at IPB University.

The activity began with a speech by Dr drh Supriyono the Coordinator of the Education and Training Division of GHA-OHCC IPB University. “Hopefully the implementation of the one health concept at IPB University will be more grounded in students. That way, one health can become a concept that is applied in the environment of IPB University,” he said.

“This presentation activity provides an opportunity for students to convey their train of thought in designing student projects. This will also add experience to students in speaking in front of the public,” explained Prof Agus Suwandono the Coordinator of the Indonesia One Health University Network (Indohun) in his speech.

Furthermore, David Stanton, Vice Director of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Indonesia Health Office said, “It is great to see students as the younger generation developing ideas in preparing student projects. We will be looking forward to seeing the projects that you design which we hope will have an impact on the community. In addition, I thank the OHSC IPB University Batch I students, who are the most important component in organizing this activity.”

The event was followed by a presentation session and a feedback session from the assessment lecturers. Acting as the assessment lecturers were Dr drh Supriyono, Dr drh Ni Luh Putu Ika Mayasari, and Dr drh Deny Setyo Wibowo from the School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (SKHB) IPB University.
