Faculty of Animal Science IPB University Takes Part in ILDEX 2023

Faculty of Animal Science (Fapet) IPB University once again participated in the International Livestock, Dairy, Meat Processing and Aquaculture Exposition (ILDEX) Indonesia exhibition held at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), Banten (20-22/9). The exhibition was officially opened by the Director General of Livestock and Animal Health (Dirjen PKH), Ministry of Agriculture, Dr Nasrullah, representing the Minister of Agriculture.

Fapet IPB University alumni and Marketing Director of PT Permata Kreasi Media ILDEX Indonesia, Ir Ruri Surasono, MBA, also gave a speech at the event. “ILDEX Indonesia 2023 is the 6th ILDEX Indonesia since it was first held in 2013 which was initiated by poultry players, namely the Chairman of the Indonesian Poultry Society Forum (FMPI) in collaboration with VNU Exhibition Asia Pacific,” he explained.

Ruri also hopes that this year’s ILDEX will become a promotional event and a meeting place for livestock actors globally. Not only that, ILDEX is also a place to exchange information, technology and trade cooperation between countries.

“The network that exists at ILDEX Indonesia can also benefit not only industry players, but also livestock MSMEs in Indonesia,” said Ruri.

In this exhibition, Fapet IPB University also displayed several products, including Sorinfer animal feed, magot, livestock wafers, eggs, BSF (black soldier fly) products in the form of cat feed and several other animal feeds. Also present were Kedaireka products in the form of sheep rendang, rosella yogurt, rosella bread, omega 3 eggs, and honey. The exhibition also featured products from the Student Creativity Program (PKM) of Fapet IPB University, including crackers, milk extracted from crickets, sponges from sheep’s wool and planting media that also come from sheep’s wool.

In this activity that has been going on since 2013, also attended the Chairman of the Indonesian Poultry Society Forum (FMPI) Don P Utoyo and Managing Director of VNU Asia Pacific Igor Palka as the organizer of ILDEX at the ASEAN level. At ILDEX Indonesia 2023, there were 203 exhibitors from 25 countries and presented more than 46 national and international seminars with 84 speakers. (Femmy) (IAAS/Hap)
