SKHB IPB University Assists the Establishment of Veterinary Medicine Study Programme at Universitas Negeri Padang

The School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Science (SKHB) IPB University is committed to assisting the establishment of the Veterinary Medicine Study Programme at Padang State University. This commitment was proven by the signing of a collaboration by the Dean of SKHB IPB University, Dr drh Amrozi and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine UNP, Rika Susanti, 11/8. The signing of the collaboration was witnessed by the Rector of IPB University, Prof Arif Satria, Rector of UNP, Ganefri, and Deputy Governor of West Sumatra, Audy Joinaldy.

Rector of IPB University, Prof Arif Satria claimed to be very supportive of UNP’s efforts to open a Veterinary Medicine Study Programme. He also emphasised the importance of cooperation to keep moving forward.

“Campus residents must have a good mindset, skills, and character, strong and able to spread positive energy to others. Let’s move forward, motivate ourselves, be an encouragement to each other, and don’t put each other down,” said Prof Arif Satria, Rector of IPB University.

In the meantime, IPB University will provide assistance in the process of establishing and organising the UNP Veterinary Medicine Study Programme.

UNP Rector, Prof Ganefri, said the Veterinary Medicine Study Programme is targeted to open next year. He said that the Veterinary Medicine Study Programme will be under the Faculty of Medicine.

“We are targeting this Veterinary Medicine Study Programme to be able to accept new students next year. Later, the Veterinary Medicine Study Programme will be under the Faculty of Medicine, which this year has opened registration for new students,” said Ganefri. (km/ra) (IAAS/RUM)
