IPB University’s Fourth Day Campus Introduction Period (MPKMB) Batch 60 was held at the Graha Widya Wisuda Building, Dramaga Campus (10/8) inviting several inspirational figures again. In this event, enlivened by inspirational speakers including Raditya Dika, Maudi Ayunda and Bima Arya.

Indonesian comedian, Raditya Dika said, everyone has to find who they really are and what specific skills they want. According to him, skill is a support and an advantage when he enters the working world.

“My specific skill is storytelling. I am a storyteller whose stage is in stand-up comedy and film. For this reason, during college, what special skills we have must be different from other people. Our effort to be successful in life is an effort to differentiate ourselves from others and can always provide benefits,” he said.

Meanwhile, singer and book writer, Maudi Ayunda, said the lecture was very important as a signal of education. For her, college is a time to grow as a human being because it is a period of maturity where you get to know yourself and get to know other people.

“Academic lessons are important but beyond that, our personal relationships with other people are the most valuable because there we learn a lot about real life,” she said.

Furthermore, according to Maudi, with the passage of time, existing technology must be able to adapt to the times. Learning theory is important but it is theoretical matters that sometimes become vulnerable.

“A learner must think critically. The world will change, information will always come and we must be able to think independently by applying knowledge in various new fields. Build your own learning process with your own style, in the future we must determine what we want, use the opportunity to learn not to depend on other people,” she said.

Mayor of Bogor, Bima Arya said, generation Z is a generation that is smarter than the previous generation because it is more digitally literate. According to him, Generation Z must fight more with previous generations and must be confident because the future only belongs to people who have vision and goals.

“IPB University is an institution that has many young people and has the opportunity to enjoy this momentum, provided that you have the courage to dream and continue to act from now on,” he explained.

Furthermore, Bima Arya revealed that goals are important and should not be postponed by the mission and vision that have been determined.

“Be the generation that is finished with yourself and immediately determine the destination point. Set a dream and shoot as far as possible. Believe in yourself that we can achieve it,” he said. (IAAS/Hap)
