IPB University Students Participate In Intensive UI/UX Bootcamp With Juara Coding
IPB University Agribusiness Student Professional Association (Hipma) through the Indonesian Agribusiness Fair 3.0 (IAF) program held an intensive training bootcamp ‘UI/UX Design for Sustainable Agribusiness Sector’ with Juara Coding. This activity was carried out intensively for three days in the Faculty of Medicine Building, Dramaga Campus of IPB, Bogor. This event was attended by dozens of participants from the Faculty of Economics and Management, the Vocational School and Business School of IPB University.
In this activity, the participants were introduced to the agribusiness system and the problems it faces. Furthermore, they studied design thinking and ideas, visual design by wireframing and portfolio creation.
“The main objective of this training is to provide an increase in the soft skills and hard skills of the participants to participate and contribute to the development of the agribusiness sector. Through this training, participants are expected to be able to improve their skills in utilizing UI/UX design in the agribusiness sector,” said Shafwa Nursabila, representative of Hipma IPB University.
In addition, he continued, participants are also expected to be able to understand the important role of UI/UX in overcoming problems in the agribusiness world and gain skills that can be implemented in their business. This training provides an opportunity for participants to expand their professional network and open opportunities for collaboration in the future.
“In supporting this, IAF 3.0 collaborates with Champion Coding, a professional coding training institute. Champion Coding provides training participants with interactive material on the basics of UI/UX design theory to practice with the Figma editing website, so they get feedback to measure their skills,” he commented.
Shafwa said, even though the UI/UX design training only lasted for two days, the participants still managed to show significant development of their prototyping skills. The positive response from the participants to this training was reflected in the results of a satisfaction survey conducted by the committee. For Shafwa, this shows the quality of the materials and the Juara Coding curriculum is effective in helping participants understand UI/UX design quickly.
“I am happy because I can learn about UI/UX design, it really broadens my horizons,” said Ilmi Zahra, FEM IPB University student, one of the training participants.
Furthermore, Juara Coding also expressed interest in further collaboration with the Agribusiness Department of IPB University. “It’s been a great activity. It turns out that the partners who took part in UI/UX are so enthusiastic. We are definitely ready to collaborate again if there is an opportunity in the future,” said Priscilia, Juara Coding Marketing Team. (*/Rz) (IAAS/SND)
