IPB University Delegates National KKN-T Delegation to West Kalimantan
IPB University sent a number of 8 students to take part in the Innovation Real-Thematic Work Lecture (KKN) activities in West Kalimantan. The activity was also attended by 951 students, 74 domestic universities and 2 foreign universities.
The eight IPB University students involved were Risna Oktaviani, Entity Nur Layla, Meilia Alvi Rahmi, Alfiandri, Muhammad, Fajar Bagaskara, Ahmad Nur Yasin, Khopipah Assonda, Grace Palamba. They come from various faculties. The host for this year's National KKN is Tanjungpura University, West Kalimantan.
Arriving in West Kalimantan, students will be placed in several locations including Sambas Regency and Bengkayang Regency. National KKN activities will be held on July 20th-August 20th 2023.
The National KKN program provides opportunities for students to be involved in community development activities at the destination location. Accompanying the students on the day of departure (19/7), namely Dr Supriyanto as Assistant Director of Agromaritime and Digital Farming Services, Directorate of Agromaritime Community Development IPB University.
"Students are expected to be able to live in the midst of the community, find problems and solve them together with the village community at the National KKN location," said Dr Supriyanto giving a statement at the participant's departure.
He added, students in the future must be able to adapt to the development of social conditions in society. According to him, this National KKN activity is the right place for students to carry out educational, research and community service activities at the same time.
"Students are expected to be able to support sustainable development, especially in the field of agromaritime as the scientific core of IPB University," he said. (*/Rz) (IAAS/Res)
