Caring for MSMEs, IPB University KKN-T Students Help Branding MSMEs in Rowosari Village

IPB University students assisted the brand image of three Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Rowosari Village, Bonorowo District, Kebumen Regency. Rowosari Village has several MSMEs such as banana sale, lanting and processed mushroom products.
“These various types of businesses have the potential to become bigger businesses, so that the economy of Rowosari Village can improve. This programme aims to brand MSMEs, especially in Rowosari Village, so that they are better known by the general public. The branding that we do is the creation of product logos and marketing videos,” said Sima Elpani as the person in charge of the programme.
According to her, brand image in the digitalisation era is very important in marketing products to attract consumers’ attention. Logos and videos are used as a platform for branding in this digital era.
“The UMKM Unggul programme is expected to help advance Rowosari Village MSMEs, so that local businesses can be more motivated to advance the village economy,” said Sima.
Marketing videos were made for three MSMEs in Rowosari Village, namely Siti’s Lanting Kreyek, Khomsatun’s Rizar Snack Banana Sale and Rini’s Omah Murni Mushroom. So far, Omah Murni Mushrooms has a logo, but no marketing video. The other two MSMEs do not even have a logo as a business identity.
IPB University KKN-T students then took the initiative to make logos and marketing videos for the three MSMEs. The symbolic handover was carried out after being approved by both parties. The three MSMEs are proud to be present in Rowosari Village and help advance MSMEs.
“Thank you very much to the IPB University Innovation KKN-T students for making a logo and product marketing video for Lanting Kreyek. Hopefully, this logo and video can be recognised by many people,” said Siti.
“As the business owner, I am happy and proud to have been given the opportunity to make a logo and video at the same time. Thank you KKN-T Innovation IPB University students for helping Rizar Snack Banana Sale production activities. Hopefully we will always be successful,” Khomsatun added.
Rini, the owner of Omah Murni Mushroom, also responded. “The video is very good. I am very satisfied with this activity. We advise IPB University students to keep learning well, so that in the future they can be successful,” she said. (*/Rz) (IAAS/RUM)
