A total of 1.695 New IPB University Students from Batch 60 Entered the Dormitory

The IPB Student Dormitory Management Unit (UPAMI) held a registration for check-in dormitories for new IPB University batch 60 students at Graha Widya Wisuda (GWW) Dramaga Campus, (30/7). This year UPAMI received 1.695 students from batch 60 of IPB University.

On that occasion, the Head of UPAMI, Dr Suratni revealed, since the odd semester of 2022/2023, IPB University has implemented a policy that students who are required to stay in the dormitories are those who have received the Indonesia Smart College Card (KIPK) scholarship.

In addition, IPB University is also gradually revitalizing the IPB University Student Dormitory Building. “Of course this has an impact on the number of students living in the dormitories,” said Dr Suratni.

“If the availability of rooms for KIPK is sufficient, then the remaining available rooms will be offered to non-KIPK students. If participants exceed the availability quota, a selection will be carried out. Selection is carried out based on gender, KIPK scholarship recipients but did not qualify, parents’ gross income, the origin of the region and electricity,” she said.

Check-in activities (student arrivals) to the dormitory are an annual routine agenda carried out by UPAMI. This year the activities were divided into two, namely check-in for new first-year students and check-in for sophomore students. Check-in will occur from July 30 2023, to August 6, 2023.

“The academic Year 2023/2024, the Student Dormitory of IPB University received a total of 1,695 new students batch 60 and 100 level II students for the Leadership, Achievement and Entrepreneurship Programs,” explained Dr Suratni.

He said, ‘Tridhata Bratasena’ (a designation for new IPB University students batch 60) who live in various dormitories. They come from Bali, Bangka Belitung, Banten, Bengkulu, Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), DKI Jakarta, Jambi, West Java, Central Java, East Java, West Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, Riau Islands. , Lampung, Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Papua, Riau, South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, West Sumatra, South Sumatra and North Sumatra.

“To facilitate mobility arrangements, student arrivals are carried out per building or per cluster. The first cluster is July 30 for Building A5, Building A6 and C4.
