IPB University’s KKN-T Innovation Presents for the First Time in West Tulang Bawang, Lampung

IPB University and the District Government of Central Tulang Bawang (TBT), West Tulang Bawang Regency, Lampung Province handed over 33 students of the Community Service Program (KKN-T) Innovation. This is the first time the IPB University Innovation KKN-T has been held in West Tulang Bawang, Lampung.

In the transfer, Ahmad Nazarudin, SIP, MIP as Head of TBT Subdistrict welcomed IPB University students who would carry out KKN-T Innovation. He expressed his gratitude to IPB University for entrusting the West Tulang Bawang Regency Government (Pemkab) to become the location of the Innovation KKN-T.

“I hope this is not the first and not the last. Hopefully IPB University and the Tubaba Regency Government can collaborate in the future to advance this district," Ahmad said while giving a speech at the TBT District Hall, Lampung on (20/6).

Through IPB University's agromaritime innovations presented in the KKN-T Innovation activities, he hopes to have a positive impact on farmers in five local tiyuh/villages.

"Thus, hopefully it can boost the potential of paddy fields and plantations here in accordance with the knowledge possessed by students. Hopefully the KKN-T Innovation students can also provide assistance, so that they can help farmers produce good results," he added.

IPB University representatives were present, namely the Assistant Director of Agromaritime Community Development in the field of Agromaritime Services and Digital Farming, Dr Supriyanto; Coordinating Lecturer in the Lilis Sucahyo Region, STP, MSi and Supervisor of Agromaritime Services and Digital Farming, Danang Aria Nugroho, SE, MSi.

"Thank you to the Tulang Bawang Tengah Subdistrict Head who has been willing to accept IPB University students for the Innovation KKN-T activities which will be carried out for the next 40 days. In this year's KKN-T Innovation there are approximately 3,316 students from 10 faculties and schools that we have placed in 383 villages, 35 districts and 6 provinces in Indonesia," said Dr Supriyanto.
