IPB University Students Won Gold and Silver Medals at the National Level ON MIPA Competition 2023

IPB University student team from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) won gold and silver medals at the National Olympiad of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (ON-MIPA) competition at the national level. In this event, the IPB University contingent won one gold medal and one silver medal after competing with 260 other students from 94 universities throughout Indonesia.

ONMIPA activity is one of the activities of the higher education level talent event which aims to develop student creativity and innovation in the field of mathematics and science. The competition was organized by the Indonesian Talent Development Center (BPTI), Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemdikbudristek) offline at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), West Java, from 13 to 17 June 2023.

The gold medal was won by Rizki Maulana Yusuf, a student of IPB University from the Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences class of 56 in the field of biology. While the silver medal was won by Rukhshon Muhammad Fairuz Abadiy from the Department of Physics FMIPA class 56 for the field of physics.

On that occasion, several IPB University students also received honorable mention awards. The students were Nurul Fadilah from the Department of Chemistry class 57 for chemistry, Muchamad Fath Bahrul Ulum from the Department of Physics class 57 for physics, and Bagus Sadewo Rizkhar Khan Hidayat from the Department of Physics class 58 for physics.

The achievement of the student team from FMIPA IPB University has proven that the competence of IPB University students can be competitive. IPB University has nurtured its students to be able to compete both in competition and in the world of work later. (MW/Rz) (IAAS/RUM)
