SPs IPB University Receives Visit from PT Sucofindo, Discuss Initiation of Collaboration in the Field of Education
The Postgraduate School (SPs) of IPB University recently received a visit from PT Sucofindo. This visit was related to the initiation of exploring cooperation in the field of education at SPs IPB University.
PT Sucofindo’s visit was welcomed by Prof. Dodik Ridho Nurrochmat as the dean and the leadership of SPs IPB University. During this visit PT Sucofindo brought representatives from the Directorate of Human Resources.
Prof Dodik Ridho Nurrochmat expressed his gratitude for the visit of representatives of PT Sucofindo at SPs IPB University. He hopes that the initiation of this collaboration can be followed up.
According to him, the essence of this cooperation is mutual benefit and mutual filling of each other’s deficiencies as well as strengthening existing strengths which primarily can be implemented continuously.
“Our core business at SPs IPB University is education, especially for master’s and doctoral programs. Apart from that, SPs IPB University also opens registration for the engineering profession program that can be chosen by PT Sucofindo for its employees who will continue their education,” he said while giving his speech.
Prof. Titi Candra Sunarti, Deputy Dean of SPs IPB University in the field of Resources, Cooperation and Development explained, currently in the Organizational Structure and Work Procedure (SOTK) SPs IPB University one of which makes it possible to make cooperation contracts related to study assignments. At SPs IPB University itself there are three registration paths namely the regular route, special organizing class and by research.
“The regular course of learning is carried out Monday to Friday, special organizing classes are conducted on Friday and Saturday. Meanwhile, the research pathway allows prospective students from agencies to continue carrying out their work, especially research with a slightly different curriculum and must be protected by a cooperation contract with the agency where they work,” he explained.
Prof. Agus Buono, Deputy Dean of SPs IPB University for Academic and Student Affairs said, currently SPs IPB University has carried out around 40 collaborations with domestic agencies. For PT Sucofindo, if later the number of study assignment participants meets the quota, special arrangements can be made for their educational pathways.

Meanwhile, Hartoko Suryomedianto, Head of the Human Capital Division of PT Sucofindo explained that the study assignment selection process will begin in 2023 internally at PT Sucofindo who are interested in continuing their education to the master level. The process is for prospective employees or study assignment participants to apply for registration and after passing they will be included in the study assignments for the master program, of course with a selection process from the destination university.
“Currently, nine prospective study assignment participants have passed and demographically at PT Sucofindo in the next three years, many will enter retirement. With this program, it is expected to be able to meet the best experts at PT Sucofindo in the future,” he hoped. (HBL/Rz) (IAAS/SND)
