Prof Arif Satria Releases Candidates for Hajj Pilgrims IPB University

The Rector of IPB University, Prof. Arif Satria released 23 IPB University employees who are going to the Holy Land to perform Hajj. The release of the prospective pilgrims was carried out in the Academic Senate Meeting Room, Andi Hakim Nasoetion (AHN) Building, 6th Floor, Dramaga Campus of IPB, Bogor.

"On behalf of IPB University, we congratulate the men and woman who have received a call from Allah SWT to be able to perform the pilgrimage. This is a moment that I think is very important as a spiritual journey," said Prof. Arif, (17/5).

According to Prof Arif, this spiritual journey is different from other trips such as traveling to Europe or America. The pilgrimage can meet with Muslims from various parts of the world, so that the sense of brotherhood when performing the fifth Pillar of Islam will not be the same as other trips.

“Indeed, this pilgrimage has an extraordinary divine dimension, our spirituality will be extraordinary, as well as an extraordinary social dimension. In the end, this pilgrimage has a very powerful social impact," he said.

Prof. Arif prayed for all pilgrims this year, especially those from IPB University, to become hajj mabrur and hajjah mabruroh. He hopes that the pilgrimage journey for IPB University employees will run smoothly and they can feel calm in their worship.

“During the pilgrimage, don't think about work. I forgive you men and woman not to take care of the office. It is the duty of the people who are here to help with the jobs that you left behind. So, don't think about anything. While there, the focus is on the pilgrimage, a lot of recitation, and study," said Prof Arif.

The Director of Human Resources (HR) Dr. Heti Mulyati reported that as many as 23 IPB University employees who left for the pilgrimage consisted of 19 lecturers and 4 educational staff (tendik). Four people from the Faculty of Agriculture (Faperta), two people from the School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (SKHB), one person from the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK), three people from the Faculty of Animal Science (Fapet) and two people from the Faculty of Forestry and Environment (Fahutan).

Along with them, are two people from the Faculty of Agricultural Technology (Fateta), three people from the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM), two people from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), one person from the Business School (SB), one person from the Vocational School (SV), one person from the Institute for Information Management and Digital Transformation (LMITD) and one person from the Directorate of Human Resources.
