IPB University and Jiangsu Ocean University Agreed to Sign the MoU

IPB University and Jiangsu Ocean University (JOU), China agreed to collaborate in the fields of education, research and community service. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was carried out by the Vice Rector of IPB University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof drh Deni Noviana with the Vice President of JOU, Prof Yan Yunyang.

“IPB University is a university with the most innovation results in Indonesia. These innovations include One Village One CEO (OVOC) and the People’s Animal Husbandry School (SPR) which have targeted areas based on agriculture in Indonesia,” said Prof Deni Noviana in his speech (19/5) in Rector 1 Meeting Room, Andi Hakim Nasoetion Building, Dramaga Campus of IPB, Bogor.

Not only that, Prof Deni Noviana said that IPB University had carried out many international collaborations. There are a total of 429 active International MoUs with various countries around the world. Currently, IPB University also has 50 international consortia, 35 of which are related to research.

“The arrival of Jiangsu Ocean University is very appropriate, because this year IPB University is in the stage of building local global connectivity,” he continued.

JOU Vice President, Prof Yan Yunyang described that his university has characteristics in an area close to waters so that the focus is more on fisheries and marine science.

“However, we also have other faculties such as computer science, fisheries, economics, agriculture and law,” he explained. He added, currently at JOU there have also been activities for foreign students including from Indonesia. (dh/Rz) (IAAS/Hap)
