Agrianita IPB University was holding the 2023 Kartini Festival with various series of events, one of which was a Medical Checkup for IPB community members and the general public. The medical checkup was held free of charge and lasted for two days (23-24/5) at the Dramaga IPB Pratama Clinic.

The types of medical checks available include screening for blood pressure, temporary blood sugar, cholesterol checking, and uric acid checking. This inspection schedule starts from 08.00 to 13.00 WIB.

The Head of Agrianita IPB University, Retna Widayawati expressed her gratitude to the partners who were present and helped organize this activity.

"Thank you for supporting whatever Agrianita IPB University's endeavors are because we have the same vision, namely for the empowerment of women and the welfare of all Indonesian people," she said.

She continued, this event was held thanks to the support of Agrianita IPB University's partners, including Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) and Bank Mandiri, which have provided facilities to carry out blood tests, eye examinations and skin checks for free.

"Women at Agrianita IPB University must be women who are up to date on existing developments, but do not forget their nature as mothers. Let's celebrate this Kartini Festival and interpret it in positive ways," he concluded.

Head of the 2023 Kartini Festival committee, Elly L Oemar said, this activity was held as a form of invitation to mothers to appreciate, respect and love their own bodies by starting to have their health checked regularly, especially basic health specifically for women, namely pap smears (cervical cancer checkup) and breast ultrasound. .

"I hope there will be awareness from the IPB University academic community that physical health is number one. Who will love our bodies if not ourselves? Because all this time, especially housewives, they always neglect their own health,” she said.

Furthermore, Elly conveyed that no less than 20 health workers participated in this medical examination. They came from the IPB Pratama Clinic, Aisha Hospital (RS), Ratnalisa Hospital, Bank BSI and Bank Mandiri.

Participants also flocked to carry out basic examinations for free. Reni Rismawati, one of the participants who took part in the health check, said that the health check was very useful.

“The service is quite good and the facilities are also quite complete because there is also an ultrasound examination of the breast which is important for women.
