IPB University and Paramadina University Sign a Cooperation Agreement
Rector of IPB University, Prof Arif Satria and Rector of Paramadina University, Prof Didik J Rachbini signed a cooperation agreement. The signing was carried out at the Institution for Science Technology Park (LKST), Taman Kencana Campus, 13/4. The collaboration that will be carried out is related to the development of higher education tridharma including education, research and community service.
The Rector of Paramadina University, Prof Didik J Rachbini expressed his gratitude for the opportunity given by IPB University. By the signing of this collaboration, he hopes that Paramadina University will be more advanced through the assistance of IPB University.
He considered that campuses that have collaborated with IPB University have made a lot of progress. "Thank you for your willingness to help Paramadina University," he said.
Meanwhile, Prof Arif Satria in his speech welcoming the Paramadina University to LKST/Science Techno Park (STP), Taman Kencana Campus. He explained, STP is an area for downstream IPB University innovations.
"As many as 35 percent of IPB University's innovations have entered the downstream level. Some have entered industry and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). While some others were developed by IPB University," he added.
Furthermore he said that the IPB University collaboration signing activity would often be carried out at LKST. This aims to introduce the progress of the IPB University LKST development including the Startup Center and Teaching Industry as well as the Halal Center which is currently being developed.
"This Halal Center will later facilitate MSMEs to obtain halal certification. Thus, it is hoped that the results of innovations can provide progress for the industry, "added Prof Arif.
This signing, he said, was an opportunity to jointly advance the nation. According to him, Paramadina University has an extraordinary reputation, which has developed a lot in its scientific field. "This campus was built on a strong base of idealism and was founded by a great figure," he added.
When visiting the Teaching Industry and Startup Center locations, Prof Didik explained, this STP area is very important for transmitting education and industry fields. He thought that it is the transmission of university innovation products to industry that has been his weakness.
“Even though there should be innovation, there is a business. That's the most important. I hope that IPB University can help Paramadina University, which is still relatively young, in this regard," he explained. (dh/Rz) (IAAS/HAP)
