The package was given to lecturers, education staff (tendik) and security officers within the scope of the faculty. The delivery took place at the Sumardi Sastrakusumah Auditorium, FPIK IPB University.

“The distribution of fresh shrimp is a form of the spirit of giving to be blessed. This is also a form of gratitude for all the activities that have been carried out in the month of Ramadan,” said Dean of FPIK IPB University, Prof Fredinan Yulianda.

According to him, shrimp is one of the fishery products that has a lot of protein content and other nutrients. However, shrimp are notoriously difficult to keep fresh.

“This is a challenge for FPIK IPB University in the distribution of this shrimp. Because freshness is key, it is also given in special containers and there is ice in each container,” he said.

With good packaging and maintained freshness, it can make the quality of shrimp maintained so that it becomes an attraction for fish consumption as an alternative source of animal protein.

“The distribution of shrimp is also a form of encouragement to eat fish, especially shrimp. The shrimp are directly harvested from the ponds of FPIK IPB University collaboration partners,” he concluded. (Ihsan/Rz) (IAAS/RUM)
