Faculty of Medicine IPB University Holds Community Health Workshop

Faculty of Medicine (FK) IPB University held a Community Health Workshop which took place at the IPB International Convention Center, Bogor (8/4). Also present at this activity was Prof drh Deni Noviana as Vice Rector of IPB University for Education and Student Affairs.

According to Prof drh Deni Noviana, the establishment of the Faculty of Medicine is part of IPB University’s plan to contribute to educating and improving the quality of graduates, especially in the field of medicine.

“At IPB University itself, there is already a School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (SKHB) which was formerly called the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FKH). We also have the Faculty of Human Ecology (Fema), where there are majors in nutrition, family, consumer, and so on. All of these are the real backbone of one of the elements in the field of medicine,” he said.

In particular, he also expressed his gratitude for the presence of the Padjadjaran University team who had supported the establishment of the Faculty of Medicine of IPB University since last year.

On the same occasion, Prof Dr drh Srihadi Agungpriyono, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of IPB University said, in the academic corridor, system, and of course health, not only doctors play a role. However, other fields related to health also participate in supporting the unity of service to the community.

“The students of the Faculty of Medicine must later become agents of change and social development that characterize IPB University graduates. By being encouraged to be able to come to the community, transfer knowledge to the community so that it can help improve the quality of their lives,” he said.

Prof Srihadi assessed that this collaboration is very important to establish quality public health services. In this workshop, discussions were also held, and the preparation of field laboratory modules and techniques for guiding students in the field laboratory. (Ns/Rz) (IAAS/TNY)
