Dr Naufal Mahfudz in his speech conveyed the direction of the importance of this activity to keep running every year. According to him, the activity is part of the tri dharma of higher education in the field of community service.

"IPB Cares for Orphans is not only a program of BP Biswaf. However, this is the activity of all work units of IPB University. In the future we plan that this activity will not only be carried out in the month of Ramadan, but perhaps in other months," he said.

According to Dr Alla, this activity is expected to increase the spirit of concern for others, especially for orphans. In addition, this service program can build a harmonious relationship between IPB University and the community around the campus.

"Hopefully we can optimize the collection and also distribute orphan compensation with the right target so that it will provide maximum benefits to the community," said Dr Alla.

Participating in the socialization were about 50 representatives from various work units at IPB University consisting of faculties, departments, Agrianita and Alumni Association. Later, they will be the team to collect funds for orphan compensation.

This socialization was held, in order to provide the latest information and techniques to the fundraising team regarding this year's compensation activities as well as a means of discussion so that the implementation of compensation can run smoothly.

Initially, the IPB Peduli Orphan Compensation activity was managed by the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) IPB University. Now it is managed by BP Biswaf IPB University. This year, the activity will raise the theme 'Sharing Kindness to Others'. (*/Rz) (IAAS/ARD)
