Wacana Forum Gathers the Management of IPB University Student Organization, Discuss Collaboration

IPB University Postgraduate Student Forum of Integrity Cabinet (Forum Wacana) held a Joint Working Meeting (Rakergab) with several student organizations. Such as the Bogor Science Club Student Organization (BSC), Student Association of Graduates Entrepreneurship (Himawipa), Student Association of Postgraduate Muslim (Himmpas), Student Association of Study Program (Himpro), and Regional Student Organizations (Omda) within the scope of IPB University. This activity was recently held at the Smart Auditorium, Telkom Landmark Tower Building, Jakarta.

In his remarks the Chairperson of the IPB University Wacana Forum, Verry Surya Hendrawan, MM said that this Rakergab was expected to provide benefits to all student organizations and Postgraduate students of IPB University. “We must prioritize integrity, both personal integrity and institutional integrity. Next, we must synergize with each other and strengthen collaboration in realizing the various work programs that have been prepared,” he said.

He added, we need to ensure together, that there is no duplication or overlapping. “It’s time to collaborate, not to compete,” he said.

In line with Verry, President Director of Telkom Property, Muhammad Firdaus also revealed the importance of integrity. Currently, many technological innovations have been developed in various fields, and in order to continue to develop them further, good cooperation and the presence of individuals with integrity are essential.

“Just like technological innovation in fisheries and agriculture, today there are also many digital technologies being used to lighten workloads,” he said. According to him, the millennial generation who are currently pursuing Postgraduate education is strongly encouraged to be able to develop personalities with integrity and to be able to create various innovations through collaboration and quality work.

“Telkom is ready to collaborate for the progress of the country,” said Firdaus. The IPB University of Postgraduate School, represented by the Vice Dean for Academic, Prof Agus Buono via zoom noted that his party really supports and appreciates the holding of the Joint Work Meeting which was held at the Telkom Jakarta Building.
“We really support the work programs of the Postgraduate Student Forum and congratulate the Rakergab. Thank you to Telkom Property for facilitating the holding of this Rakergab,” said Prof Agus.

He also gave direction that student organizations within the Postgraduate scope of IPB University have several functions. Among them is increasing ability and capacity both individually and institutionally, while still prioritizing the duration of lecture time.

“We hope that these Postgraduate students will be able to build good networks so that they can support future careers, both in government and in the private sector. But it must be remembered that lectures must be completed soon, “ he added.

On this occasion, Telkom also gave a presentation regarding the Internship Program, which was delivered by the Senior Manager of the General Support Human Capital Business Partner Center, Ms. Christin Anwar. In the socialization, he said that Telkom provides many opportunities for students starting from D3, S1, S2, and S3 to take part in the Internship and Research Program at Telkom.

“We have opened a lot and provided opportunities for students to take a part in internship programs at Telkom. These programs are also programs of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN). Various programs are provided, from apprenticeship programs with pocket money, certificates signed by the Minister of BUMN, or getting an assessment of 20 credits,” said Christin. (Ns/Zul) (IAAS/RZL)
