IPB University signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with PT All Cosmos, Sdn Bhd. The agreement took place at IPB Dramaga Campus, Bogor, (13/3).  In his speech, the Rector of IPB University, Prof Arif Satria said, from this partnership, IPB University is expected to get a useful comparison, especially for students. Currently, IPB University has developed and provided quality seeds that can be adopted by farmers. He targets, by 2023, IPB University products will already be at the global level.

"This is an effort to produce our graduates to become global players, so it is hoped that many students can do internships in Malaysian multinational companies. Thus, they can enter the international world," he said.

In addition, he added, IPB University has Serambi Botani. This outlet is part of a business locomotive that is able to accommodate all business activities in the upstream area in an integrated and sustainable manner, especially on research results aimed at fostering a real entrepreneurial spirit for the academic community.

"Serambi Botani is a pioneer outlet that provides local products with a natural and healthy concept for the community. It can be ensured that the products available at Serambi Botani outlets are from natural products, hygienic and free from harmful chemicals for the body," he said.

"We are also trying to expand Serambi Botani, thank God with the grace of Allah Serambi Botani this week will launch at Pacific Place Mall, Jakarta," added the Rector of IPB University.

On the occasion, Dato Toni Peng as Director of PT All Cosmos, Sdn Bhd also said that All Cosmos Bio-Tech (ACBT) is a Malaysia-based investment holding company founded by Taiwanese investors in 2010. ACBT is involved in various industries, mainly divided into four main areas including agriculture, waste reutilization, healthcare, pharmaceutical, microbial research and development.

"Our products help propagate healthy natural plant growth through the process of improving soil structure. As a corporate stakeholder of the earth, we play an active role in reducing further damage to its precious waterways," he said. (Ns/Rz) (IAAS/RUM)
